Training for dogs, Solutions for Owners

“If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous he will not bite you. This is the principal difference between a dog and man.”

My Services

Dogs are so special but sometimes without the right training owners may feel that they have ‘lost control’.  Does your dog ever:

  • Dig holes in the garden
  • Wee/Poo anywhere but on the grass
  • Jump up on you and your visitors
  • Bark for ‘no reason’
  • Chew on anything other than their toys
  • Bite your hands, legs and clothes
  • Totally ignore you when you call them
  • Pull constantly on the lead when walking

The list could go on and on, but don’t worry, I can help you and your furry friend.

Prep Class Puppies: 8-20 weeks old

Puppy Socialisation classes for pups aged 8-16 weeks. We cover basic obedience and answer all your questions that go with having a puppy like biting, jumping up, house training, barking, chewing etc. Plus they get to have lots of supervised off lead play with pups of a similar age in a safe and professional environment.

High School Classes: Dogs over 20 weeks old

We assist you with getting your dog not to pull you on lead, not to lunge or react towards other dogs, to focus on you, basic obedience and provide you with advice and tools to get the best from your dog.

Adult Dog Classes: Dogs over 6 Months old

Czech mountain dog sitting during training. Pet owner learning obedience in meadow.

Four week course for dogs over 6 months of age and up who have had little or no previous training

Private lessons

Sometimes the best way of establishing the best solution for a dog’s  behavioural issue is for me to come to your home and assist you with a customized one-on-one  private training session

It sometimes just takes a lesson or maybe more to see what the issue is and we can advise on how best to proceed from there.

The Costs

Whilst we really want the whole family to be part of this exciting time, no-one under the age of 12 can be left in charge of a dog.  Happily children can take turns with parents during the classes, but must not be dropped off with the dog and having no adult supervision.
